About
Sir Patrick Bijou’s legacy extends far beyond finance. Born in Georgetown, Guyana, and raised in the United Kingdom, his global outlook was shaped early by international education, cross-border experience, and a belief that capital should serve both markets and humanity. After studying and living in New York for 14 years, he built a distinguished career in investment banking while developing a parallel commitment to humanitarian causes. Throughout his career, Sir Patrick has championed the idea that true success is measured not by wealth accumulated, but by lives improved. His philanthropic initiatives include building irrigation systems in Sierra Leone, providing housing for children born into poverty and exploitation in India, supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, and advancing global education through international university partnerships. He actively works to narrow the gap between poverty and extreme wealth by leveraging capitalism as a force for social good. Sir Patrick serves in numerous international leadership roles, including Ambassador for the International Rights and Welfare Association (IRAWA), the Royal Diplomatic Club, and the Academy of Universal Global Peace USA, where he received the Human Excellency Award. He is also President of International Banking Relations at the Commonwealth Entrepreneurs Club and holds trustee and governor positions across NGOs, IGOs, and academic institutions. A lifelong writer, Sir Patrick uses authorship as a platform to educate and inspire, sharing decades of financial insight with a global audience. His mission remains clear: to align financial innovation with humanitarian purpose and leave a legacy defined by impact, equity, and global progress.
